Melanie is a seasoned business leader who has worked extensively in Europe and Asia and was, most recently, President EMEA of Newell Home Fragrance Division – famous for the Yankee Candle brand. In a thirty-year career, she has managed brands in the toy industry such as Fisher Price, and Barbie at both Mattel & Hasbro as well as a ten-year tenure running the Weight Watchers business across the UK, Europe & Asia.

Melanie has been working as an advisor to the Ideal Protein business since September and is excited to take the business through its next phase of growth by refocussing on the fundamental strengths and outcomes of the IP protocol through its healthcare provider network.

She is a mother of two (grown up) children, fanatical about her two dogs and has last year ran her first marathon (in her mid fifties!!) in New York.

Dr. Tran Tien Chanh is a co-founder of the Ideal Protein Protocol. He started his career as a general practitioner and sports physician, but quickly became interested in nutrition and obesity-related issues. Having concluded that weight loss was essential for treating illnesses such as hypertension and dyslipidemia, Dr. Tran was a driving force in the development of the Ideal Protein Protocol.

An award-winning graduate of the Faculty of Medicine in Paris, Dr. Tran has published several books on diet and weight loss, lectures on weight loss across North America, and is a member of Ideal Protein’s Executive Medical Advisory Board.

 

A registered pharmacist for more than 30 years Mr. Ciell joined Ideal Protein's start-up team in 2006 and helped launch the company.  In addition to this establishing role, Mr. Ciell serves as both the Senior Science Advisor and Director of the Scientific Support Center for Ideal Protein. Offering online support services for Ideal Protein Clinic Partners, the Scientific Support Center specializes in addressing Patient or Client technical issues.

 

Dr. Douglis is an Ear, Nose and Throat specialist (ENT) and is currently board-certified in both otolaryngology and sleep medicine. Dr. Douglis has offered the Ideal Protein Protocol in his practice since 2008.

 

With Bryan’s vision and leadership Ideal Protein is revolutionizing the way people lose weight with innovative & companion technology like the IdealSmart Platform & App.

 

Bryan’s team is also hard at work ensuring that Ideal Protein’s staff and partners are well equipped with collaborative software and systems in order to best serve all our customers.

 

James Asher joined Ideal Protein 8 years ago as a Senior National Development Consultant, after 19 years in the Pharmacy industry.

He uses his extensive knowledge to contribute to the success of numerous clinics and consultants across North America!

Dr. Riley is currently the Professional Pharmacy Services Consultant for C.O.P Laboratories Inc., President of KD Riley Pharmacist Professional Corporation, a pharmacist practicing Medication Therapy Management and a Clinical Assistant Professor with the University of Florida College of Pharmacy Pharm D program. She is a member of the Ontario College of Pharmacists Council and Pharmacy Examining Board of Canada. She is the pharmacist consultant and developer of the Hogan Pharmacy Ideal Protein program that started in 2012 and still acts as a consultant for that program.

For a decade now, Amanda Ghobrial has been an integral member of the Ideal Protein family. As a certified Lifestyle Coach and specialist in Fitness Nutrition, Amanda’s years of hands on experience have helped thousands of dieters reach and sustain their goals. MJ Somerville began her journey with Ideal Protein as a client/patient more than 6 years ago.  Her personal success on the protocol resulted in MJ developing such a passion for the brand that she joined Ideal Protein as a Regional Development Consultant.  

She brings with her 25+ years of sales and marketing experience in the Consumer Packaged Goods industry with some of the largest multinational companies in North America.  She has used this experience to play an integral role in the development of the Ideal Protein brand in Ontario and she is grateful for the opportunity to work with so many wonderful clinic partners.
